Both East and West had other bids available. Who gets the blame for missing the grand? What is your suggested auction? Thanks!
TWO4BRIDGE
What would 5NT ( instead of 6C ) mean ? ( Still GSF ? ).
Zelandakh
Let's see, East has first round control of every suit with 18hcp and the trump queen...opposite a partner who showed a GOSH...and did not even make a try. Is this really a question you needed to ask or did you just want to humiliate your partner?
Trinidad
With this East hand, my problem is not whether to bid the grand. The problem is: Which grand? Rik

Actually I had no intention of "sharing" (humiliate never crossed my mind) these results with my partner, so I choose "question I needed to ask". I was just curious. Thanks! MrAce
East must bid 7 ♣ and if preempter doubles, he must run to 7♦ imo.
billw55
East must bid 7 ♣ and if preempter doubles, he must run to 7♦ imo. Thus giving the defenders the chance to make the Bridge Bulletin by bluffing a Lightner double in order to make a real Lightner double. Now that would be cool.
ArtK78
100% East. My only question with the East hand is whether to bid more than 7.

Now that would be cool. Not on this hand of course as W has an easy 7N if that happens (which does make the bridge bulletin if opps have 13 hearts between them which is the only way it's going down). MrAce
A K K xvoidK J 10 x x x x x x Ok, even if we agree that everyone bids 5 ♣ with this, you may go head and not bid grand incase the only possible hand that grand doesnt make is held by partner. And the rest of us bid it while we go down on this hand and just claim our grand with the rest of all other possible hands pd may hold. ( I know, I know.... 13 tricks may well be available if partner is only missing the K ) .

Agree with Timo - I will take my chances in 7♣.
