How long do I have to belong to BBO before the "newbie" label goes away?When the Tournament Completion Rate calculation was implemented, "new to BBO" was anyone who had not played 10 tournaments in the past 30 days. It's a restriction some tourneys use to prevent trouble-makers from creating a new ID after they've been blacklisted and join the tourney again under a different username. It's not aimed against newcomers to BBO, but unfortunately they are affected too. Stick around for a while and your newbie label will go away. barmar Posted May 10, 2012 Report Share Posted May 10, 2012 The use count requirement is presumably so that the "troublemaker" can't create a bunch of accounts, so that when one of them gets banned he just switches to one of the others. vicstart Posted May 15, 2012 Report Share Posted May 15, 2012 Hi, I too have been trying unsuccessfully to join tournaments but get rejected as it says my completion rate is not high enough. My profile shows my completion rate as unknown. Have I done something wrong in the past and how do i get my completion rate up if i cannot join certain tournaments? You've only played in 5 tourneys in the past 2 months. Enter a few more tourneys that don't have TCR restrictions and then you'll be able to enter restricted tourneys.
