mikl_plkcc
[hv=pc=n&e=saha5dak9cakq7652]133|100[/hv] MPs, NS vulnerable, North deals East opened 6NT this hand, redoubled, +1. Luckily, we are playing MPs, so this is only just a board. Most the the field bid constructively, and reached either 6 clubs or 7NT.

Statto
This doesn't look like a 6NT opening to me. A 6NT opening looks something like ♠ AKQx♥ AK♦ AKQJ9♣ AK but I've never seen one.

That does not look like a 6NT opening to me. That looks like a 7NT opening.

jbaptistec
I think that if you ever consider opening 6NT, you should open 2♣ instead and get information on the other hands. If you open 6NT, partner will not know what you need to make 7. With a cold 7NT opener, I guess I would also open 2♣, then randomly bid provided that my bids are forcing. This increases the chances to get doubled eventually.
mycroft
For me, partner will know exactly what is needed to bid over my 6NT opener; if she has an ace, she'll bid 7, neh? Obviously, the OP's hand isn't a 6NT opener for me.
