ICQ is similar to MSN messenger, it is fine and it is a quick and easy way to talk to friends/acquaintances on line. All on line chat programs are frowned upon in on line bridge as they can be used for cheating. My take on the matter is this - I have used ICQ when playing with a partner when we are practicing or learning the system so as not to bore the opponents stupid, however you have to be very ethical about it though in that you ONLY discuss hands after they have been completed.
