Lurpoa
Friends asked to move this subject to this forum, where they hope it will get more attention. ♥ ♥ ♥ Mr Larry COHEN publishes, on the BridgeWinners site, a serie on 2/1.He proposes an easy, comprehensible, kiss-oriented, 2/1 bidding system. I think this system has potential to become very popular for on-line play.Indeed it uses only essential conventions, all known by the intermediate to advancing player. It would be a very big step forward to have the LarryCohen-standard available as a standard CC under the BBO CC-manager. I have started development of this CC.You can find it as my preferred CC on my profile on the Main BBO site. Feel free to use it and complete it. When there are options to fill in, I used, in order of priority:1. Mr Cohen's recommendations2. Expert practice as documented in the BWS standard.3. What is commonly played on BBO. (rated tournaments) Just a shame that there is so little room on those CCs. Please send me your comments. ♥ ♥ ♥
barmar
Let us know when you've completed it, and we can copy it into the stock convention cards.
Lurpoa
Let us know when you've completed it, and we can copy it into the stock convention cards. ♥♥♥ That is a wonderful initiative.Indeed lot of demands for that.... We will have to wait till Mr Cohen has finished his series. Then I will ask him to verify and approve..... An advanced version is available as my Preferred CC.I invite everybody to test it. ♥ ♥ ♥

barmar
Ahh, I forgot about that Favorite CC field. Since LC is using the ACBL CC in his BridgeWinners articles, why don't you use that in your BBO CC?
Lurpoa
Ahh, I forgot about that Favorite CC field. Since LC is using the ACBL CC in his BridgeWinners articles, why don't you use that in your BBO CC? ♥ ♥ ♥ Indeed, that is what I do...But it is not complete...and choices have to be made... All by all a challenging task. I'm wondering if I am not trying to get too much on there. Comments appreciated ! I contacted Mr Cohen through his BBOMail. But as he is playing the Trials, I do not expect an immediate answer. PS: Indeed, that preferred CC-feature is often forgotten. Very few players use it. And it is so nice, to start a fast quickly a game.May I suggest that you remind the members of this feature on the BBOToday-board ? ♥ ♥ ♥
barmar
it doesn't look like an ACBL-style CC, it looks like a generic CC. Lurpoa
♥ ♥ ♥The LC-card has now be updated with the info from Larry's last article.I am keeping the "generic" format; It simply allows to write more. When all is done, we can evaluate if it is worthwhile translating it to the Acbl-format.Your remarks are welcome !♥ ♥ ♥

barmar
We're probably not going to publish it as a stock card until it's completely done, because replacing a stock card is a pain.
eyhung
The full LC Standard card is available on the Bridge Winners website through the convention card editor as a template. Larry Cohen himself has personally edited it and it will not be changing, so you can use it as a model for a BBO convention card template. Full disclosure: I am an administrator and editor for Bridge Winners.
