SelfGovern
My partner and I played tournament "#2675 Speedball Pairs (IMP/Swiss)" and I thought the movement was a bit odd. There were four pairs, two full tables. Round 1, we played pair "A", boards 1 & 2.Round 2, we played pair "B", boards 3 & 4.Rounds 3, 4, 5, 6, we played pair "C", boards 5-12. This doesn't seem quite right; shouldn't the movement have had us play each of the three other pairs for four boards? If not, how were the pairings determined? Gerardo
Swiss like, this is, best score plays 2nd best, 3rd plays 4th, (etc.) Now, a Swiss as I understood it does avoid repetitions as far as it is possible, but "BBO Swiss" does not. Not much to pick from 4 pairs anyway.

The standings, after each round, were:Rnd.....You.....A.....B.....C..1........-8.......8......-8.....8..2.........8......-8.....-24....24..3.........1.....-15.....-17....31..4........-1.....-17.....-15....33..5.........4.....-22.....-10....28..6........18.....-36.......4....14Once you and Pair C had the big Round 2, you two were always ranked ahead of A and B. Is there any functionality to generate this in BBO?
Bbradley62
not that i know of... i did it by hand just to confirm that the pairings were appropriate, which i was sure they would be.
