Cohen Precision cc, Umjuno

I had the same question.

Per an email from Larry Cohen, umjuno is where 1D-2H = 5 spades + 4 hearts less than invitational and 1D-2S = 5 spades + 4 hearts invitational.

And what does the name mean?

My guess is: "Unusual Major Jumps - Usefulness Not Obvious"

actually, fred and brad play it (or used to, anyway), and has written about it in a positive light, but i *think* they play it after both minors... so 1c/2h(s) and 1d/2h(s) show the same hand type... unless i'm mistaken, he calls it reverse flannery

(i play it also when i can find someone interested... just because of that magic word 'flannery' ;))
