dickiegera
How many pts does opener show? #1 1♣-1♥-P-P 1NT #2 1♣-1♥-X-2♥ 2NT #3 1♣-1♥-P-2♥ 2NT #4 1♣-1♥-X-2♥ 3♠ Thank you
wyman
18-19 on the first two. I would think that the 3rd is a minor-oriented takeout.\ edit to add that agreements surely vary from partnership to partnership -- some people would not play #2 as natural either
aguahombre
1--18-19 balanced.2--a lot of clubs, not a lot of points (good/bad, by agreement)3--typically 4-6 in the minors with enough playing strength to do it opposite a silent pard.4--A hand which would have raised a 1S response to 3, since that is what we are doing. 3 and 4 are hard to answer in terms of points. phil_20686
1 is 18-19, i dont play 2 or three as natural, and four should be about 15-17.
paulg
I, unlike many, play the first three as natural showing 18-19, or equivalent. The fourth hand can be relatively weak in points (14+) as it is a distributional raise.
masse24
1.) 18-19 Balanced (of course with ♥ stopped)2.) 18-19 Balanced (of course with ♥ stopped), and 2 or 3 ♠'s.3.) 18-19 Balanced (of course with ♥ stopped)4.) 15-17(ish) with 4 ♠'s. (A little wiggle room allowed since it is possibly based on distribution) Must say I like Aqua's alternatives. So may look into them.
