BunnyGo
This was BBFPairs2 Board 9: The auction was the same at all tables, and the opening lead the same at 3 of them. I present here the play from my POV until I made a mistake. Good luck. If you cash the Ace of diamonds, partner plays the 9, declarer the 6, what now? Edited March 25, 2012 by BunnyGo
wyman
I think you should cover the ♣9 at trick 2. I would give partner a club ruff now, assuming you are signalling UDCA. On a good day, declarer will be cut off from dummy, and partner will be able to continue drawing trumps so that we can eventually cash our side suit, probably diamonds, but maybe spades. Are you sure partner can ruff? Maybe dummy is simply dead now.

wyman
Well, then, I think it's a guess. Too many possibilities to think about. I don't understand why declarer is working on clubs if he only has two, so I'm still inclined to lead a club, but it wouldn't surprise me if either Ace and a diamond or a low spade were right.
