Hanoi5
Red vs White, imp pairs: ♠A9xxx♥KQT♦Jxx♣Qx 3♦-???
ArtK78
Pass. Not good enough to overcall. Add the ♠K (maybe the ♠Q) and I will overcall.
nigel_k
Easy pass. Our space is very limited and the most efficient way to use the space remaining is for the lower limit of 3♠ to be a hand with a decent chance of making game when partner might pass out 3♦. This doesn't meet that standard.
HighLow21
I cannot imagine anyone voluntarily bidding this hand alone at the 9-trick level, even non-vul, even (maybe) at matchpoints. To bid it red at IMPs is asking to go -1100 to save a partscore. You have 8 losers and no guarantee of a sufficient trump fit. Terrible. Let this one go. the hog
Pass and not close by a country mile.
neilkaz
I like to compete agrressively vs enemy preempts, but this is a very clear pass. More interesting is whether to compete over a weak 2♦ opening, but even then I think I'd pass.
