Quartic
I lead the ♥A, then I decide how to continue when I can see dummy. The ♠A could also be right.
nigel_k
A major suit ace is right if they have eight clubs tricks and the ace of diamonds and LHO has passed with a major suit wide open. A high diamond is right if they have seven club tricks and LHO has a more normal hand such as Kxxx Kxxx Axx xx. I would play for that.
squealydan
Does the fact that I have the J♣ make an 8-card holding more likely?
Phil
♦K (Q in my partnerships) which I consider kind of obvious. It has at least as much chance of getting us rich when we can run a bunch of diamonds, and it will not blow the 9th trick like either major Ace can. I don't expect an 8 card suit because we are r/w, in spite of me holding the Jack.
phil_20686
The problem with a diamond lead is that if declarer has it it might hold you to one off when you could have cashed 7 tricks at the get go. I would lead the spade ace.
