ArtK78 Posted March 12, 2012 Report Share Posted March 12, 2012 While I am all in favor of raising on three card support (especially good three card support) on unbalanced hands, this one takes that principal too far. I would rebid 2♣. If partner passes, that is probably OK. But over any rebid (except possibly 3NT) I then bid spades. Game or slam is possible in any of three suits. If you don't bid clubs, you eliminate the third suit from consideration. In this case, you have put yourself in a very bad position when partner rebids 3NT.
