If you do double it continues: X (3C) 3S (4C)? Now what? If you bid 4H partner bids 4S If you don't double what do you bid? As it happens the winning line appears to be to open 4H which shuts out ops who can make 5C but that never entered my head. If you've agreed that 2D & 3H (and perhaps even 4H) here explicitly denies 3 spades, then you should definitely X. If they can tap me playing in hearts they can probably also cut off partner from the heart suit if we play in spades. And I don't want double to end the auction.
