The preempt was well timed, and could have hurt them, but West reacted well. The question is, why did your partner not raise 4H to 5H? He has two tricks for you? The main problem with 4H is, that it suggest a sacrifice, and my hand is too strongfor such a message, and not strong enough to have a reasonable shot at game, if happento hit gold.
