It must be pretty easy for people to miss. For an event like Mgoetze's pairs that's a bit of a problem. Can't it be refiled next to A/E or something? I think the interesting hand discussion should be heldunder the advanced/expert area for a number of reasons. 1. eliminates clutter from this area 2. placing hands in advanced/expert area will allow for more "excitement" within bbofor these matches. 3. the play/bidding problems have a natural "home"in the advanced/expert section (as long as biddingconventions used are clearly explained) and willgenerally make interesting reading for all. barmar Posted February 27, 2012 Report Share Posted February 27, 2012 There's nothing that says the BBO category is just for technical issues -- for instance, "Find a Partner/Teacher" isn't technical, either. Most of the discussions in this category are technical simply because most BBO-specific issues have to do with the technology. I suspect the main reason people didn't know about this forum is simply because it's new, and didn't get much fanfare. Maybe an announcement in the yellow bar would help. I believe matmat had a script (maybe he posted it about a year ago) that would filter out forums he didn't want to see in the "View New Content" button. Matmat, is this correct? Anyway, this place is just too high volume for me to read everything, so I don't use View New Content. Basically I have a priority list of forums and will check the top X of those depending on how much time I have, also sometimes something in the 5 newest threads list catches my eye.
