BunnyGo
Ok, so I played this hand really well (I think, please feel free to tell me if you think the early tricks were what got me in trouble), until the very end, when I had everything figured out, and just pitched a useful card instead of a useless one. Silly. 2NT was Lebensohl, meaning I got to play it when wyman pushed. I expected E to have AQ of hearts and west the Q of spades, but when W had the Q of hearts, I knew that he couldn't have the spade for me to have a chance, so I should just play the marked squeeze against E. Edit: According to GIB I screwed up much earlier, but I'm not sure if that's just DD or not. Edited February 19, 2012 by BunnyGo
inquiry
A reminder, when you link to hands using the "reference" like you did in the first post, then the hand will "disappear" in a few months, when the myhands database is purged. For forum hands, it is best to post the hand [hv=lin=pn|wyman,mateo13,BunnyGo,wuef|st%7C%7Cmd%7C2S57KAH8KD26KC59QA%2CS46HJQD3459TQC267%2CS38JH45TD78JAC34J%2C%7Crh%7C%7Cah%7CBoard%204%7Csv%7Cb%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7C2H%7Cmb%7Cd%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7C2N%21%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7C3N%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cpc%7CH6%7Cpc%7CHK%7Cpc%7CHJ%7Cpc%7CH4%7Cpc%7CDK%7Cpc%7CD3%7Cpc%7CD7%7Cpc%7CH3%7Cpc%7CD2%7Cpc%7CD9%7Cpc%7CDJ%7Cpc%7CST%7Cpc%7CS3%7Cpc%7CS2%7Cpc%7CSK%7Cpc%7CS4%7Cpc%7CSA%7Cpc%7CS6%7Cpc%7CS8%7Cpc%7CS9%7Cpc%7CD6%7Cpc%7CDT%7Cpc%7CDA%7Cpc%7CH2%7Cpc%7CC3%7Cpc%7CC8%7Cpc%7CCQ%7Cpc%7CC6%7Cpc%7CH8%7Cpc%7CHQ%7Cpc%7CH5%7Cpc%7CH7%7Cpc%7CDQ%7Cpc%7CD8%7Cpc%7CH9%7Cpc%7CS5%7Cpc%7CD5%7Cpc%7CSJ%7Cpc%7CHA%7Cpc%7CS7%7Cpc%7CD4%7Cpc%7CHT%7Cpc%7CSQ%7Cpc%7CC5%7Cpc%7CC2%7Cpc%7CC4%7Cpc%7CCT%7Cpc%7CCA%7Cpc%7CC9%7Cpc%7CC7%7Cpc%7CCJ%7Cpc%7CCK%7C]400|300|The 4th best lead places advancer with two hearts higher, probably qj given the jack play if west isn't up to unblock. The ten of spades was an interesting card, did you ask their carding agreement? if it shows the nine, spade plays instead of club would be indicated (and here, worked out great).[/hv]
Statto
If you chuck a ♣ from dummy on trick 10 instead of the last ♠, will West realize that cashing the last ♦ squeezes partner out of two tricks? If you had ♣K or ♠Q you'd have cashed out by now, so East must have both those cards. If you had both ♣J10, you'd have played ♣ differently. So it's possible to work this out.
