On the lead of the penultimate trump north is squeezed. The last trump is needed after the squeeze in case north unblocks the ♦K and south gets on lead to play a spade. whereagles
Seems like a simple setup squeeze.
Cascade
Seems like a simple setup squeeze. Where do you find that nomenclature?

whereagles
Where do you find that nomenclature? You're right. It's a setup squeeze, but not a simple one. I don't know any name for it.
phil_20686
If you ignored the south hand, it would be a positional squeeze without the count. Named because if you adjusted the count by say cashing the diamond ace and ducking a club then cashing both trumps discarding diamonds north would be simple squeeze. Once you include the south hand the I have no idea about the nomenculture, this hand contains some strip squeeze elements, as if north pitches a diamond a club is pitched from dummy and on a low diamond up if he keeps it he gets endplayed with it, if he gets rid of it the diamond 9 is established. So I have no idea what you should call it.
