Gerben42
Would you have bid differently? If so how? [hv=pc=n&w=skt9852h62dajt7ca&e=saqhq983d432cq953&d=w&v=n&b=12&a=1sp1n(forcing)p2dp2sppp]266|200[/hv]
mr1303
No, I would do the same. Ah well...
Fluffy
This sequence: 1♠-1NT2♦-2NT3♠ Is forcing, and that is why I wouldn´t bid 2♦. I would bid 2♠. Wich is lucky to be the bid that catches a happy raise from East that I would convert to game.
Finch
No. And it's hardly the world's best game, particularly NV
inquiry
Bidding looks perfectly normal to me.
nigel_k
I think responder in general has to be aggressive in this auction as 2♠ could be an extremely poor hand. But with queens in both of partner's short suits it makes sense to just bid 2♠. I would not move with West. Anyway it looks like ten tricks could be difficult if diamonds are not 3-3. dwar0123
I would bid 2♠ with the west hand and if east raised to 3♠ I would accept the game invite. I don't see much point in showing the 4 card diamond suit. I'll show the 6 spades. If we get to a playable game, it won't be in diamonds and if it ends up being nt, no reason to map out the hand for the opponents.
Codo
I would hate a 2 ♠ bid from west and would have duplicated the given auction. Yes West is 6-4- but not enough to invite and East? Point counters may count enough points for a stronger move, but the two queens in partners short suits do not look promising at all.
whereagles
Indeed. Responder's two Qxxx look suspicious. To stop at 2S is normal.
Gerben42
I found nothing wrong with our bidding either, so I was surprised to see that out of 8 tries, the scores were: 1x 2♠+2 (us)3x 3NT +14x 4♠ = Given that it includes many of Germany's top pairs, I was wondering what I was missing...
