palabreur
I thought I had a nice game; obviously #6 was terrible for me, but the rest didn't seem so bad. I didn't expect to lose by almost 50: http://www.bridgebase.com/myhands/hands.php?tourney=3122-1327543861-&username=jmunday http://www.bridgebase.com/myhands/hands.php?tourney=3122-1327543861-&username=palabreur

palabreur
Uhm... your point is? My point is that the dude had a heck of a game. I bet many people would find it entertaining to see someone who wins a 8-board cross-IMPs game by almost 50. What was the point of your post? Other than to try to put down someone that you don't know...
mgoetze
I was just trying to figure out whether you actually had anything interesting to say. I'm sure almost everyone reading here has seen hundreds of absurd hands in GIB games leading to double-digit IMPs either way. Statistically speaking, someone is bound to have enough of the good hands to score +58 every once in a while. So this is really a non-event. Of course personally I don't care for IMP Pairs at all anyway.
Phil
The guy that beat you is pretty damn good.

uday
We resisted the IMP pair version of the robot dups for a while, bec we were skeptical of what the IMP scoring would do to results. We expected it to lead to wilder scores. Doesn't seem to, generally, tho. I'm thinking of expanding the IMP schedule further.

pigpenz
alot of people use different techniques when playing with the bots, to win consistantly you do have to be good.Take a look some times at Leo LaSata hand records....he does very well in the bot acbl games but then he shouldcause hes pretty darn good....but there are some things he does that some people would complain about if it were4 people at the table instead of him and 3 bots
