Voted for inquiry for the first one, not sure how much he posted in the last year so maybe he is the wrong vote but over all the years of the forum he would absolutely crush this award. He used to be 3x the volume of anyone else, and always posted long and thoughtful stuff for b/i.

Voted for gnasher for the 2nd category, I think he was the best poster as he never gets into pissing matches and is rarely if ever rude, on top of being a very high quality poster obv.

BTW, and I'm sure this will be ironic coming from me but every other forum that I've been on that does something like this has an open poll to prevent random multi accounting of the voting + some criteria to vote like at least 10 posts (sucks for lurkers who wanna vote). Maybe not a problem on this forum since people are older but it would at least preserve the integrity of the vote. Obv some people might not want their vote to be public, perhaps a good compromise would be for a mod to go over the votes at the end if they can see private votes.

For me the "Most Helpful" comes as a toss up between the high quality of Frances' content and the teaching material (plus odds and ends) that Ben has posted. In the end I am coming down on the side of Ben because his posts were proactive which makes them a little special. This is clearly one of the most difficult categories to judge though. While it is nice to be nominated here I think it is clear that Frances' content is of a much higher quality than mine across the board.

In the "Best Poster" category I can see arguments for all of the nominees but I think it has to be Justin for the simple volume of super-high quality posts he has made throughout the year. Frances would be my second choice and I am surprised to see her so far behind in what looks strongly like being a 2-horse race in a strong field.
