JustaDummy
I use the Flash app. I have to, because I use the Mac exclusively. I watch a lot. No, a LOT! A bit like Peter Sellers in "Being There." I'm trying to learn more, so I Kibbitz. I habitually Kib South, and bid and play along. But it irks me that, for every table I Kib, I have to go Options>More options>Advanced options> Kibbitz South every freaking time. I know that the Flash app can't save prefs, but a couple of buttons tucked away somewhere in the screen real estate would make life better for me on BBO. Otherwise, LOVE the software! barmar
The Flash app certain CAN save prefs -- it saves your preferences for sound, card pictures vs. hand diagrams, etc. We just don't happen to have a preference for this option. We try to minimize the number of preferences (the Windows app went way overboard), and prefer them to have fairly wide use. Always kibitzing a particular compass direction seems like a pretty unusual preference. Except for the daily CAYNE matches, what's so special about South? jillybean
what's so special about South?Until I realized kibitzing N,E,W would rotate the hands, I only ever kibitzed south. I want the hands in the correct orientation :)
fred
There is a shortcut to Options->More Options->Advanced Options for setting which seat you want to kibitz - just right click on the seat in question and select "Kibitz South" (for example) on the menu that appears. I tend to agree with Barmar that this is not the sort of option we should be saving. While I think it is great that you use this method in an attempt to improve your bridge, I doubt there are very many BBO members who do this (especially when it comes to always kibitizing one particular seat). I would also be concerned that some users might get confused or annoyed if we saved this option. JustaDummy
Thanks all! My lack of familiarity with the software… I didn't know about the right-click option nor about the table rotation. Problem solved! :D
