We don't have any special rules for solid suits like that -- I think the expectation is that simulations will usually deal with them -- so the default rule is to double to show 16+ total points. It needs 19+ TP to bid freely on the 4 level when partner has only shown 6 points. However, in all my simulation tests, it actually chooses to Pass -- I think all the bidding is making it very pessimistic about partner's hand. Was this a dumb bot? Was this a dumb bot?Couldn't the book bid be 3S (or 4D if the actual opponents bid was 3S) for all good hands with 16+ total points and not so many HCP overall its already said I have only 3 spades or 3 hearts in my hand.
