szara_emin
Traveller 4741-1325587501-14895077 After similar/identical bidding as on my table and identical first lead, GIB managed to win 6 times and lost once. Am I just unlucky ?

Bbradley62
http://online.bridgebase.com/myhands/hands.php?traveller=4741-1325587501-14895077&username=szara_emin After similar/identical bidding as on my table and identical first lead...Playing in tournaments, GIB is set up to have the same "seed" at all tables, so at all of the other six tables where South bid 3N, there are identical results. You are the only one who bid 3♦, so your situation is slightly different from all the others. But given that, it was be interesting to hear why West defended differently at your table, and why your North finessed the preempter for an outside missing honor. But yes, you were just unlucky. georgi
Due the 3♦ by South, the North hand promised 5+ ♥ only, while the all other 6 tables promised 6+. Which initially doesn't change the play as after ♥A and ♥8 all Wests now know North has 5♥. But only this West switches in spades which doesn't reveal yet the trump split. Why? Probably it does this because the rest 4♥ over 3NT don't bring additional information, just 11-HCP and 12-TP which is foggy, while this North shows 11-12TP. So West is aware for sure for ♥K and ♠AJ so it makes more clear plan for him, not for declarer.
