sfi
Many years ago I picked up the first of my two 0 loser hands: -AKQT9xAKQxxxA With Paul Soloway on my left and Bobby Goldman on my right partner opened 2S. Not so bad - at the other table Mike Passell had to deal with a 4S opening bid from partner. Partner had: AxxxxxxxJxxxx Push board in 6H= (Soloway held Jxxx in both red suits, so 6H is the only making slam). The only thing I remember about the other 0 loser hand is suggesting that the person who held it at the other table might want to have bid their long suit at least once in the auction, which would have led to the correct grand.
Flem72
Today, in first seat in a Swiss: xAKQJTxxxxAKx Got to open 4N, and he had 'em both. You'd think it would be a push, but at the other table my hand opened 2C. Partner responded 3C = controls, but opener thought it was natural. Played in 6H.
Siegmund
Ive never held more than 27 myself. I directed a game in 2003 where someone had a balanced 31 count -- I don't recall how many winners -- and responder had enough that 2210 was a bottom and 2220 was a top.
blackshoe
I had a 30 point balanced hand once, but strangely, I have no idea how the hand turned out.
