whereagles
Defensive hand and pard might have a below average hand. I say let it be.
aguahombre
Partner knows prebalancing. I don't want to discourage her from doing so in the future. PASS.
kayin801
How about 3♠ which is hopefully fit-showing with only 4 spades. Sometimes we get to play at the 3 level then, and from the right side! 3NT could be right too. (xxx, x, AKxxxx, Axx) I think I need coffee before I look at this hand again. rduran1216
depends on agreements, I have partners I'd bid 4D with and partner's id pass immediately with.
gwnn
easy pass.
rogerclee
I would bid 4D. FWIW I really don't think it's easy to double someone on this auction, most people are glad to have pushed you to 4m, so -100 into their 140 is a very likely occurrence. tolvyrj
Well, if u r sure 4♦ wont be dbled, then it is easy. On the other hand if opps r awake they realise that -100 is very close to zero if they have 140 coming to they side, so dbling our 4♦ wont cost much even if it makes.-200 on the other hand is a kiss of death in MP`s so raising u prds 3 ♦ to 4 aint so clear cut. gnasher
Pass. We may well beat 3♥ with 4♦ going down. Also, on some of the hands where we belong in 4♦ partner will act again.
MrAce
Pass would not even occur to me tbh. Pd's overcall is much more promising than 1♥-2♦ overcall. EDIT : If i knew we will be doubled in 4♦, i would be even happier to bid 4♦. But i really play this as support and not broke. Otherwise my concern would be to be lifted to 5♦ frequently, rather than being doubled in 4♦.
the hog
This is very close to a 3NT bid. Give me the A of S instead of the Q and 3NT it is.
Fluffy
4♦ -1 undoubled was a top, but even -170 was a good one. I think I would had doubled 4♥ coming back, that would be the bottom.

sathyab
I would bid 4D. FWIW I really don't think it's easy to double someone on this auction, most people are glad to have pushed you to 4m, so -100 into their 140 is a very likely occurrence. One reason why they'll find it hard to double is that RHO will rarely have a good enough hand to double 4♦ when all he could was just compete to 3♥. But if LHO has a maximum for his 2♥ and most likely only 3♥s for his raise, he's likely to double, don't you think ?
Fluffy
What was the whole deal ? I only remember LHO had ♦Q stff and RHO ♦Ax After the hand RHO comented something about 3♥ being intended as invitational.
