myprac
And to make matters worse, the pass happens just when partner confirms a fit in spades. georgi
Is this hand played with downloadable version? It can't be replicated with web GIB even older one or two versions. GIB always finds the 2NT ( invite with 5♠ ) over 2♥. The downloadable version would be updated in coming weeks too, but so far the new updates will be found only in web GIB and tourney GIB. Bbradley62
Is this hand played with downloadable version? This answer will also test a theory from another thread -- if that other theory is right, myprac is using the web version, because the descriptions of his bids are being cut off. myprac
The hand is from practice with the basic robot, which I suspect is getting pretty tired of me by now. I've never tried the downloaded version.
AyunuS
Oh, you should have mentioned it was with the basic robot from the beginning. Basic robots pass in some situations like this were the advanced ones will still bid something.
myprac
Basic robots pass in some situations like this were the advanced ones will still bid something. That's interesting. I was under the impression that if anything basic robots were more likely to bid "by the book" because they don't look for creative alternatives. I guess in this case forcing doesn't mean forcing.
