sathyab
[hv=pc=n&s=s8haq7dak652ct862&w=sq94hj3dqj43caj53&n=sjt65hkt964d98cq9&e=sak732h852dt7ck74&d=s&v=e&b=3&a=1dp1h1sd2d2h2s3hpp3sppp]399|300[/hv] BAM scoring. Say you lead the ♦A and partner plays the 8 playing UDCA. How should South find a ♥ switch either now or a trick later ? Should he reason that East would not be bidding 3♠ with a dubious ♥K ? Is there a case to be made for North playing the ♦9 first ? Partner can not have six ♦s for bidding 3♥, he would almost surely have bid 3♦ after making a support double first. So if you play the Nine at T1, the only danger is that he may cash a 2nd ♦ thinking you have a stiff, but when all follow suit, he might figure out you played the spots in that order. Of course, given the actual lay-out of cards, a trump switch or even ♣ doesn't do the defense any damage. P.S. It may be West, not East who bid 2s, but it was definitely East who bid 3s to close the auction.
Fluffy
partner signals doubleton diamond, you ahve 2 choices, or test for partner´s singleton diamond by cashing ♦K and then panic when you see you have stablished 2 tricks for dummy so you better run for your hearts, or play a club straight away at trick 2 to try to get an entry to partner. After that you will see eveything better.
