Tempted by 2, but not sure if I'd bid it at the table, the 5 diamonds are a big plus in that partner will be overruffing and the next hand following. 1 most of the time.

 

Partner probably has something that means we're taking 500 out of anything they bid at this vul, but I'm not doubling 1.

I would bid 1NT on this hand.

2 = cue bid, usually both majors, doesn't promise a rebid

2 = natural, 5+ diamonds

Double = 4 diamonds, penalties (or 5 diamonds too strong to bid 2D)
