CSGibson
[hv=pc=n&s=s4hkq95djt73ckq63&d=e&v=n&b=2&a=1cp1hp1sp2spp]133|200[/hv] Matchpoints, good field, good partner. Do you balance here? Do you feel strongly about it?
Statto
No, we are vul and there's only one suit left, in which we have a poor holding.
jmcw
Yuck. You think we have an 8 card fit?, certainly no guarantee. I'm passing at these colo(u)rs.Wish I had bid a ♥ when I had the chance.
barmar
I suspect he's hoping that partner can pass the double for penalty.
menggq
No balance DBL 2♠ here for me, 3 level is not safe. But why not DBL after 1♠ if u really wnna show sth?
Hanoi5
Pass now but I might have doubled 1♠, though.
mcphee
Double is too risky with partner holding 4S. Competing at pairs with a one suit situation over the 1S response I think dble is better sooner. It would be good to know if the opps bidding showed real C having bid S. I suspect it does. We might well have a 8 card D fit our way, possibly 9 and bidding sooner might have solved this. I agree with the first pass but would not yell if partner had over called 1H, not great, but it is pairs.
Free
If you want so do something other than pass with your hand, you should've done it 1 or 2 rounds earlier. Now it's too risky imo.
Siegmund
Opposite vulnerability I can see a double here if we have an agreement that clubs is a biddable suit for our side. This vulnerability, nosirreebob.
