inquiry
[hv=d=n&v=n&n=s64hkj97d853ck872&s=skt93hat832dakt6c]133|200|Scoring: IMPWest North East South - Pass 1♣ Dbl 1♠ 2♣! Pass 4♥ Pass Pass Pass Where !2♣ = shows 4+ ♥’s, and 1RF equality method[/hv] Ok, so you PROBABLY bid it via (1♣)-X-(1♠)-X*-(P)-4♥, where * = responsive dbl. Bidding this game isn;’t the trick. The trick is how to make 10 tricks after a club opening lead. T1. C4 C2 CQ H2 Try to construct the opponent’s hands. Do you play hearts to be 2-2? Do you finesse one or the other for the heart queen. Do you play trumps early or late? Discuss your line, best logic wins…but your line has to make to count. This hand was played on BBO on may 8, 2004. luke warm
i'm giving lho the ♠A, Q (or J) 5th and that's all... ruff club, ♥A then K, dropping rho's Q (optomistic)... then i play lho for 5233 six count and rho for 2236 thirteen count now i lead a spade to the 9, unless i have to cover something... ruff the club return and lead the ♠K, hoping to drop rho's J or Q... throw a diamond on a good spade and ruff 2 diamonds on board i have to play hearts that way, i think, because of entry problems
