"Not thinking" behind screens.

You play behind screens and bidding of next board started at the other side of the screen.

The board with two calls is moved to your side.

But you are still discussing the result of the previous board with the enemy at your side of the screen and that takes longer then it should.

Is it now best to announce to the players at the other side of the screen that your side is not thinking about the bidding (So that they don't have to think that there were bidding hesitations) OR is it better to say nothing.

The screen shouldn't go down until everyone is ready to start the auction; and failing that, definitely not before everyone is finished with the previous hand.

Not correct. The screen regulations I have read direct that the screen is put down before the players take their cards out of the board. I have only come across one player who insists on following this practice (it takes a little longer as the players have to wait for the tray to be on their own side of the screen before they can take out their cards) but that is what the regulations require.
