Flameous
[hv=myhand=M-20619595-1322594756]400|300[/hv] 1♦ is light natural 4+ and unbalanced and may have longer clubs. 1S natural, balanced GF may start with 1♥ (GF/relay, might have been better) Any way to bid the seven comfortably or should east just punt? Also, can I make that diagram bigger somehow? Edited December 3, 2011 by Gerardo Made diagram to use hv tag

TWO4BRIDGE
That 3H preempt sure cramped the "exploration" since a fit was not discovered yet, nor a gameforce ( GF ). So, that got me to thinking.Why not use 2C! as a GF ( could be artificial ) over a 1D open.[ We have seen it used before here ( but not by me ) for 1-Major openings ) . 2C! would not deny a 4 card Major... as is usual for 1D - 2C! auctions. Now the 3H-jump interference doesn't do much harm:1D - ( p ) - 2C! - ( 3H ) And opener can pass! w/o a 4 card major ( w/o 4 cards ♠ in this case ) and not worry about a passout in a GF situation:pass! - 4D ( and Responder and show his 4+♦ support, also w/o worry about partner passing )4H! ( mixed cue ) - 4NT ( RKC for ♦ )5S ( 2 + ♦ Q ) - 5NT ( K - ask, guaranteeing all key cards )6C ( ♣ K ) - 7D
TWO4BRIDGE
The same 7D would be reached if 4H! ( by Opener ) were kickback-RKC for ♦.Once all key cards are accounted for when Opener makes a K-ask , Responder would just leap to 7D eventho there is a small chance Opener does not have the ♣ K . Cyberyeti
Well starting 1♦-2♦ (inverted not denying 4M)-(3♥)-4♣ as a shaping out bid (surely he could cue a major to have the strength to be able to bid 4♣ so this should be this type of hand)-4♥ kickback and E can count 13 tricks opposite A♠, AQxx♥ and Kxxxx♣ and bid 7N. mfa1010
On the actual bidding east should be comfortable about bidding 7. I simply don't see what values west could have for his very aggressive bidding if not ♠A, ♦AQ, ♣K.
