Toradin
Hi all, What would you bid in the following auction? [hv=pc=n&s=s62haq9dkqjt9854c&d=w&v=n&b=12&a=p1s4c]133|200|Matchpoints[/hv] Partner's hand for those who are interested: [hv=pc=n&n=sakj854hkjt42d3c8]133|100[/hv] I ended up just bidding 6♦ and was left to play there. The heart slam seems a bit worse than the diamond slam but should we be in it, given the scoring? If so, what is a reasonable way to get there? Thanks! MrAce
Could be fun to debate this hand if you didnt give your pd's hand imo. I would probably end up defending doubled 7♣.
Fluffy
We miss 4 keycards: ♠AK, ♥K, ♦A, with ♥K and ♠K not neccesary (maybe be substitued by ♠Q or ♥J 4th) Partner´s opening makes him favourite to hold 2 or 3 of them, but the 4♣ bid has increased his chances of having more as partner will rarelly have more than 1 club honnor. So we are big favourites to make 6♦ with 7♦ IMO more likelly than going down in 6. I´d settle for 6♦, if as Timo says they bid 7♣ will have to think about forcing pass and stuff. Won´t dream of playing in hearts, being tapped and shut down from my 8th card suit is not on my agenda this year.
bigbenvic
I'm starting with 4♦ will bid 6d over 4 or 5♣ by opponents will probably end up either playing 6♦ or defending 7♣ doubled.
