Cascade
Five spades and around 10 points.
jmcw
Five spades and around 10 points. Hmmm....I would just bid 2♠ with that. IMO a double jump should show longer ♠ and fewer points, K at most outside. KQTxxx(x) xx xx(x) Kx, but more likely QJTxxxx xx Qx xx.
Yu18772
Five spades and around 10 points. That would be 2♠ for me. Preemptive raise with 6 spades and few points (something like lower range of 2S opening).http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif
Zelandakh
2 schools of thought here. Mainstream is a weakish hand with long spades. A method commonly advanced on these forums is for it to be invitational and 5+ spades, thus making an immediate 2S show precisely 4 (or a weak 5 that is being treated as 4). I wouldnt - I dont have anything more than I promised, Q♠ is wasted, give partner something like AJxxxx,xx,Qxx,xx.http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif
whereagles
I would. The hand has aces and the rest of the HCP are all in the correct places. It's close, but when in doubt one must bid these games.
Zelandakh
I would not have doubled with a balanced 13 and length in opps' suit.
Fluffy
I would not have doubled. Now partner will be missevaluating his heart holdings and diamond holdings so its just a guess.

whereagles
How did you make 12? You need to pull 3 trumps and ruff 2 diamonds. Those are mutually exclusive :) Nevermind.. dummy reversal lol. Play >> bidding eheh.
