Over strong club

It would be interesting to know some useful facts:

- what is your defense to strong , so we can figure out what the Dbl is and isn't?

- also the approach might be interesting: does partner bid destructive after a negative, does he bid constructively,...

- is 1 forcing or not? Does it show 4+ or 5+?

Obviously, it all depends on your philosophy in defending against a strong club. But in my partnerships, the whole deal should look something like:

[hv=pc=n&s=sk985hq6542d73ck8&w=saq7632hadk85cq42&n=s4hk983daq94caj73&e=sjthjt7djt62ct965&d=e&v=e&b=6&a=pp1cp1dp1sdp2h2spp]399|300[/hv]

If partner would have been weaker, he would have shown some twosuiter immediately after 1 (4-4 is ok at this vulnerability) and yes, partner could be 13(45).

I think that I would have bid 3 in the previous round. That would have involved partner in the decision. I need to guess now and I will guess 4.

-We dont have fancy defense vs strong 1, DBL = majors NT= minors rest natural. This delayed double is take out for suit but no details were discussed.

-As i said no detail were discussed, this is not a pick up pdship but it is only a BBO pdship. So common sense is your only tool.

-1 explained as 5+ 16-21 (pretty std precision bid)

In that case I guess I have to bid 3. ;)

I dont see the benefit of the 2h bid this hand look a lot closer to a 3h bid

especially since playing the hand will be almost double dummy. After I bid 3h

P will be in much better shape to know when to compete. If lho had opened

1s I would have bid 3h and I do not see any reason to bid less just because

LHO has shown at least a K more than most standard 1s openers:)

Given the bidding I have to compete to 3h but my p will not be able to raise

with their good hand because of my underbid initially.

Mr Ace asks "Teamgame. 1* =precision 16+. 1= negative. What would you do ?"

Guess: 3 = 10, Double = 9, 2N = 7, Pass = 6. 4 = 2.
