1 for me.

When we can make slam opposite as little as 5 mediocre , shortness and one Ace, I'm not taking spades out of the picture.

I don't expect to get there more than once in a blue moon but if they overcall and pard bids 2 I'm cue bidding, likewise if pard responds 1 and they overcall now.

If it lets them into the auction profitably, so be it. Feels like +300 against our white game is about the worst that could happen.

This looks like a 1 - 1N - 4 hand to me. Opposite a limit raise a slam looks like its in the ballpark and I would expect partner to pass a 4 opener with this.

I have enough defense against 5 of a minor that I don't think I need to raise the stakes right away.

Regardless of colors or method of scoring, I hear slams are worth a lot.

Dunno how many of the cold ones we will get to with this, but no chance if I open 4H.

Any hand with two keys, 3 hearts, and third round spade support will do. Many hands with 5 spades. Etc.

1 - I wont miss game, they dont have to find (but we might), slam is possible, and total misfit is possible. At equal vul woldn't be too unhappy to let partner double some minor contract, given the right opportunity.
