I'd double, then bid 4 over 4, showing & .

 

Three notrump isn't a bad bid, but I'd fear that we'd be missing a better game (or slam) in a red suit.

 

You pays your money and you takes your chances.

Thanks for the responses, I did consider 3NT, but wasn't sure I had enough tricks in hand opposite a passed hand (especially with the stiff club). As you can see 3NT would have been bad, but 4 or 5 quite good.

 

We won a few IMPs when the other table tried slam, but I still wasn't happy with my bids. Thanks for the suggestions.
