JLOGIC Posted October 31, 2011 Report Share Posted October 31, 2011 4S takes up a lot of room. After 3S-3N you can cuebid. It seems like your hand is too strong to just bid 4S and pass 5D. Partner will probably not like his hand with Kxx xx QJxxx Kxx or something but that is a good slam. This is a pretty lousy slam - partner felt boxed over 4♠ I think and keycarded us into 6. For a second it looked reasonable. Low club lead ducked (!) and K on right.
