Also when i am in a pardnership bidding and my instructor displays a hand I cannot copy or screen print it, to ask my pardner how he views this? Only have chat log no way to view the hand? I understand copyright issues, but within the realm of bbo and forwarding examples to pard can it be allowed? Why can't i make a screen print of the example and have a forward to pard within bbo? Right-click on the name of the sender, in the chat area, and there is an option there to "Copy chat message". For the hands, look in "Movie". When you send a chat message to your partner in the chat line where you are typing the message there is also an option to "Attach bridge movie". treytor2 Posted October 29, 2011 Author Report Share Posted October 29, 2011 Okay maybe I am not explaining it well enough. If I copy as you say the chat line it is one line? I want to grab multiple lines along with a picture of the hand set up in the pardnership bidding room? It is not a already completed hand! It is a perdealt teaching hand in graphics form. I would have to create a chat line under the picture and type the hand out by hand AKJ10spades and such and so on? Then one line at a time I would have to copy the chat and paste it in a word document somewhere? Ideally what would be best is the ability to cover over all chat that I choose in a grey area like a real word document and then copy it and paste it. This would take my chat but not the picture of the hand? I can review the chat log to accomplish what was said before in all the teaching. What I cannot do is reference it with the hand and order of it...... diana_eva Posted October 29, 2011 Report Share Posted October 29, 2011 If you want to copy chunks of text then chat log is definitely better than copying the lines one by one. The hands have to be saved from the Movie, there's no other way I know of, for the BBO version you are using. If you like to just get it all together and send to your partner you can get a screenshot. Instructions here: http://www.bridgebase.com/help/english/scrnsnap.html On the web version you can click in the chat area, drag and select as much text as you wish to copy. For the hands, even if they are incomplete, you can create a Handviewer link, copy it and send it to your partner anywhere (in BBO or by email). You cant select everything, chat and hand altogether. You'll always have to select them separately, unless taking a screenshot is enough for what you need to do. The advantage of sending a bridge movie or a handviewer link is that the play of hand is kept and your partner can replay the hand himself. You can also add annotations if you like.
