After a minor suit opening, a rebid at 2 level should usually suggest 6+ (or good 5+), not 4+ in that suit. A jump (or double, triple jump) rebid should show good 6+. I don't think gib system is programmed like this. The problem seems to come because 5♣ promises just "biddable C"=4, that's why North might deducted 5♠ seems more luckily.
