uday Posted October 7, 2004 Report Share Posted October 7, 2004 There is a new tournament option: "Block-opponents-hands-when-dummy" . When this is set, a 3.8.8 client will not be shown the enemy hands when it is dummy in a tournament. If the tournament was created by a pre-388 client, the 388 client will assume that it is ok to show all hands. Maybe even this could be done automatically if a player disconnects? (Yeah, ok, a weak player with a strong partner could quit on purpose to let his partner play it, then reconnect, but how many players do you know who will do that?) EarlPurple Posted November 3, 2004 Report Share Posted November 3, 2004 I was referring to a situation where the switch would happen automatically if a player disconnected. (Directors on BBO have to resolve more connection problems than actually do any directing. Anything that can be done to help automate the process would help).
