Hi,

I just loaded 3.8.8 and when I go into the main lounge where as I used to see padlocks I now see plain yellow boxes, I do not believe any alterations have been made to my system, so I am unsure if that is a problem or a change. or a problem with my computer only, seems strange as all I have done is upgrade to new version

If the padlocks (or other symbols) continue to look strange, try restarting your PC. Let me know if the problem continues. In theory there should be no changes in 3.8.8 that cause this sort of thing to happen.

I still have yellow padlocks on white backgrounds..

Ben

I have the same thing, is it bug?

Stefan

You have the same thing? You mean you see the padlocks? That is what you are suppose to see. Do you see just yellow blocks, then that is not right.... IF you only see yellow blocks, please post again...

Sorry about the Armenian flag. The problem will correct itself if you download the BBO software again through:

We will make sure to get the Armenian flag right in the next version.

Hi, everything worked correctly until the upgrade to 3.8.9 Since then the program is not able to connect to the server. OS: WinXP Pro, connected through Microcom ADSL DeskPorte Router 400 (built-in firewall). I installed the next version (3.9.0) from the scratch; the problem remained the same. I restored the version 3.8.4, it works, but it always wants to install the new version. Is it possible to use this old version without automatic download and installation?

The server will try to upgrade you 3 times, then give up. So you can escape from the "i want to install the new version" screen 3 times, then you will remain at 384

I don't suggest you do this except as a last resort. Better to fix your firewall.

Usually when this happens, this is a problem on the local PC. Programs like Zonealarm and all the big antivirus programs need to be configured to allow programs to connect to the internet. When a program changes ( as it does when we upgrade) they need to be re-configured.

The program in question is c:\bridge base online\netbridgevu.exe

It attempts to connect to bbo.bridgebase.com using TCP. First , on port 9999, then on port 80 if the first attempt on 9999 fails.

If you are going to poke through your antivirus program, look for something called "Internet firewall" or "Personal firewall" or whatever.

Drop me an email - uday@ - if you need help and we'll muddle through it together.
