gwnn
(please don't take this thread 100% seriously) I finally managed to stop trolling around on the forums and play some live bridge for a change (I will continue trolling but only in parallel to playing, too). Round 1 starts with this auction: 1NT-2♣*-2♦-p (2♣=majors)p-2♥-... main question: Where do you think our auction ended? We agreed to Lebensohl with my partner, who sometimes has different ideas about auctions but is a good player. Your hand is (as dealer)AKJxxQxKQTxxx(a maximum 14-16). The next round hidden: 1NT-2♣*-2♦-pp-2♥-2♠-p?What does 2♠ mean? I took it as 5♦4♠, but I thought this would be a good point to finally bid my clubs:3♣ One more round to go: 1NT-2♣*-2♦-pp-2♥-2♠-p3♣-p-3♥-pUh oh. Partner is doing something weird, and has probably misbid. Well he might ask for a heart stopper, or who knows what? I guess you could say that this is a good raise in clubs but who are we kidding? I had no UI here btw, everybody had a straight face, except perhaps RHO who was thinking "why bid 2♥ pard? we could have defended 2♦".Well OK let's bid 4♣, see what happens (fortunately I warned my partner that I never mean or take 4♣ as ace asking). So, what happened? 6♦ happened. Partner's hand(roughly):xxKxxAK9xxxAx Not a bad slam, but diamonds were 4-1.
han
I'm glad to hear that your partner is good at other things.
Zelandakh
He said partner is a good player; he did not say at which game though... :)

ArtK78
I can see the reason for the 2♦ bid now. +150 outscores -50.
Fluffy
ArtK78 beat me to it :) BTW you have an obvious 3♠ bid over 3♥, I know a pro who says that when the client starts cuebidding stupidly he just bids first step and awaits.
