whereagles
Now 6H. It's only 1 time out of 4 that pard won't have the spade ace, and even then he's a favorite to have at least the king. Seems easy. By the way, why not 3C to show this sort of hand? 4C isn't semi GF, it's totally GF no? I mean.. you're at the 4 level, eheh. hrothgar
I'm bidding 7N Give partner 5 hearts to the AQ and 4 aces and this contract rolls home...If you're feeling conservative, ask for the queen of hearts first
whereagles
I did read 1-4 aces, but had some lapse, thinking there was an ace out. Well, an easy 7NT then. If pard doesn't have the heart Q, then he's probably got 6 hearts.
TWO4BRIDGE
Maybe I don't understand this Multi.Opener has either a weak-2 ♥ or ♠ or a strong NT hand . If Opener's subsequent action showed the strong NT hand, what is the range ?It looks to me that with your 16 hcp, the grand might be a laydown. Edit: If Opener does NOT have the strong NT hand, then he only has ONE key card.... Edited October 2, 2011 by TWO4BRIDGE
kgr
Maybe I don't understand this Multi.Opener has either a weak-2 ♥ or ♠ or a strong NT hand . We have in our multi:- weak 6c Major- GF in a minor- Semi-GF Major- NT 22-23- NT 24-25....can sometimes get too difficult for us

When someone says that i would think opener has long good ♥ suit 7+ and shy of opening 2♣ for various reasons. Am i correct ? If so then pd has something like Axx AQT9xxx Ax A or he has KQJ AQT9xxxx x x. Which one is more likely in your style ? If it was upto me, i would think pd has the first hand type. But if second one is in your definitions of "Semi-GF Major" hand, or if you are not sure, then bid 5♥. No one sane should ask keycards and stop short of slam when pd shows 4 keycards. Have some faith in partner, he will understand your problem and lift with 4 keycards, unless he has extremely bad experiences with your RKCB abuse in the past. I didn't know anymore to show this with 4♥ or 4♣ and did take the least logical - and the wrong - one.We ended in 7♥X-3. At the other table our team played 4♠-2. ..clearly my fault, but 1% for partner because he had too much trust in me. ;)
