Bbradley62
You really need to start posting diagrams from myhands.
p_t_red
I read the system notes and GIBs CC and it doesn't say anything about 2 clubs over 1 diamond being not forcing to game.
diana_eva
It's not GF, only one round forcing. The explanation of the 2!c bid over 1d opening is "11+ points biddable !c". The explanation of 2!c over a 1M opening is "14+ points forcing to game".

georgi
So it seems like bug. But not because of the 2♣ explanation, but because GIB has passed with these values over 3♣. It will be investigated for fix.
Bbradley62
So it seems like bug. But not because of the 2♣ explanation, but because GIB has passed with these values over 3♣.Yes, it is a bug that North passed with game-going values, but isn't it also a bug that South showed 12-13 when holding 17+? Or is that a mis-explanation of the 3♣ bid?
diana_eva
South's 3!c is probably the minimum bid to show fit in clubs. Any other bid shows extras (new suit, 2nt or cue).

Bbradley62
The rest of us would like to see the actual hand, not your summary of it. (BunnyGo made a similar suggestion on one of your earlier posts.)And yet noone has explained how to do that.Sorry... this has been posted several times recently, and I thought you were in on those posts. Actually, I'm puzzled by how you hide hands in myhands... There are several ways to post hands. The easiest (but not my favorite) is to find your hand in "Recent hands", click on "Export deal" then "Handviewer link". You will be given a tinyurl; copy it and paste it in a post: http://tinyurl.com/424hf8l I probably make this method more complicated than necessary, but here it is... Find the hand in myhands... inside the dialog box there is a link you can copy that looks like this: "http://www.bridgebase.com/tools/handviewer.html?lin=pn|~~M2211rip,~~M5584eil,bbradley62,~~M64641u3|st%7C%7Cmd%7C4S8TQH459KD3TJAC28%2CS45AH78TJAD67C34J%2CS269KHQD258KC67TQ%2C%7Crh%7C%7Cah%7CBoard%2014%7Csv%7Co%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7Cp%7C" To make it suitable for the forum, you should:(1) replace the beginning of the link through the "?" with "{hv="(2) add to the end "}400|300{/hv}"using straight-brackets in place of those squiggle-brackets. The 400 and 300 are the size dimensions you want and you'll get something like this: [hv=lin=pn|~~M2211rip,~~M5584eil,bbradley62,~~M64641u3|st%7C%7Cmd%7C4S8TQH459KD3TJAC28%2CS45AH78TJAD67C34J%2CS269KHQD258KC67TQ%2C%7Crh%7C%7Cah%7CBoard%2014%7Csv%7Co%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7Cp%7C]400|300[/hv] Or you can start your post and click on the link symbol next to the smilie face and insert the link from myhands
mgoetze
The 400 and 300 are the size dimensions you want I prefer 480|360, but that's a matter of taste...
Bbradley62
I prefer 480|360, but that's a matter of taste...I actually usually go with 360|270, but I think 400|300 is kinda standard :)
barmar
I also use 400|300. What we really need to do is get the forum admins to change the default to something reasonable, so we don't have to do this at all. Whenever someone fails to add this, we get those stupid, unreadable diagrams.
