2/1 Game Forcing or Not

The auction:

West North East South

____ _____ Pass 1

Pass 2 2 3

Pass Pass Pass

2 says Forcing two over one, yet GIB passes over 3.

So I realize there are multiple variations of 2/1, but GIB

should at least tell you which one it's playing.

Now it says 3 is 12-13, and South does have more than that.

But even if South has 12-13, North has 15 and can't pass anyway.

So it seems like bug. But not because of the 2 explanation, but because GIB has passed with these values over 3.

Yes, it is a bug that North passed with game-going values, but isn't it also a bug that South showed 12-13 when holding 17+? Or is that a mis-explanation of the 3 bid?

That's the GIB's CC with the basic things you could expect

Look under "Minor opening" and down below under "Responses" -> Other: 2 after 1 opening not GF

The rest of us would like to see the actual hand, not your summary of it. (BunnyGo made a similar suggestion on one of your earlier posts.)

And yet noone has explained how to do that.

Sorry... this has been posted several times recently, and I thought you were in on those posts. Actually, I'm puzzled by how you hide hands in myhands...

There are several ways to post hands. The easiest (but not my favorite) is to find your hand in "Recent hands", click on "Export deal" then "Handviewer link". You will be given a tinyurl; copy it and paste it in a post:

http://tinyurl.com/424hf8l

I probably make this method more complicated than necessary, but here it is... Find the hand in myhands... inside the dialog box there is a link you can copy that looks like this:

"http://www.bridgebase.com/tools/handviewer.html?lin=pn|~~M2211rip,~~M5584eil,bbradley62,~~M64641u3|st%7C%7Cmd%7C4S8TQH459KD3TJAC28%2CS45AH78TJAD67C34J%2CS269KHQD258KC67TQ%2C%7Crh%7C%7Cah%7CBoard%2014%7Csv%7Co%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7Cp%7C"

To make it suitable for the forum, you should:

(1) replace the beginning of the link through the "?" with "{hv="

(2) add to the end "}400|300{/hv}"

using straight-brackets in place of those squiggle-brackets.

The 400 and 300 are the size dimensions you want and you'll get something like this:

[hv=lin=pn|~~M2211rip,~~M5584eil,bbradley62,~~M64641u3|st%7C%7Cmd%7C4S8TQH459KD3TJAC28%2CS45AH78TJAD67C34J%2CS269KHQD258KC67TQ%2C%7Crh%7C%7Cah%7CBoard%2014%7Csv%7Co%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7Cp%7C]400|300[/hv]

Or you can start your post and click on the link symbol next to the smilie face and insert the link from myhands
