Pierre1412
In BBO Express tournaments it seems that no adjustments are made unless a certain number of tricks are played (I think it is 8). In some case, the declarer is already down within the first 4 tricks. The out come is obvious, the declarer maxes out the 30s available to play and, having control of dummy as well, can force 1 trick to be played in no less than 1 minute. Considering that bidding takes 2-3 minutes and a game is 5 minutes, the decalrer has control of whether he will get a 50%, exploiting this "SW flaw" - it is really a logic flaw no a SW one). While the explanation given is that "too few tricks have been played to be able to make an adjustment", i think that if one is down... he is down and that should be the minimum adjustment.Of course, obvious tricks (such as A,K.... trumps) could be added too. I agree that some tricks could be missed, but at least the result will not be as flawed as it is now.
barmar
The problem is that it's not just declarer who can do this, so can the defenders, if they see that the contract is cold. Maybe we need something like TCR, but instead statistics about thinking time. If a player uses most of their 30-second think time too much, they should be penalized in some way.
