When I read a post that I think is interesting or makes a good point well and I notice it has been upvoted, then at least 95% of the time I can predict it will have been recommended by helene_t even before I check to see. (Conversely, if I think it's a pretty random post that has been recommended, I can be sure it hasn't been voted up by helene - and I can have a pretty good guess about who has up-voted it.....) 2) Following on from the above, is there a way to change my settings so that I only see posts recommended by helene??? Once I saw a completely idiotic post and asked myself "which idiot has upvoted this one?". But that would completely undermine WellSpyder's Law since it would no longer be the case that posts upvoted by Helene would necessarily be worth reading! (Indeed, it had already occurred to me that I could guess who might have upvoted the OP, so my "rule" was already starting to break down....) More seriously, it's my impression that the upvoting system is settling down after a rather uncertain start, and that Helene's willingness to recommend posts that are intelligent without necessarily being witty is a helpful contribution to that. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
