ACBL Robot Tournament - Matchpoints, all vul. North (GIB)xxxxxxxAJT98x South (Me)(Dealer)xAQ98xAQKxxxx 1♥ - (2♠) - P - (3♥)4♣ - (P) - 4♥! - ALL PASS I made the overbid of 4♣ as I knew that passing was likely to result in a bad score. My Robot partner, with 6 card support for my second suit, took a preference to his singleton in my first suit! (The explanation for the 4♥ bid was limited - 2+H) This was not a success. I bid my diamonds. GIB bid 2♥, presumably to play. I rebid my diamonds, not trusting GIB. GIB bid 3♠. I thought this bid smelled bad, but I had nowhere to go. GIB's hand? x AJxx xx JT9xxx. cloa513 Posted September 11, 2011 Report Share Posted September 11, 2011 3S-4Its rediculous that the description for a rebid of a third hand opener is only 3 Diamonds (most take that the 1NT is only semi-forcing in that position)- Its gotta be 5♦. 3 is for first and second hand.
