Hi, I was very surprised to hear that i was deleted from a td list when i wanted to register at his tourney on saturday night 2 of october, aroud 9.30pm(french time). Is it possible for you to know if this effect came from a bbo bug or if my name have been deleted by [XXXXX] the td director. Don't know if you can check the td list and see who deleted players but if you can know it, i will be very pleased to have the real answer. Hi, i am not sure what was going on here, but I removed the TD name from this post. Martoche, we don't tend to all people to be called out by name. Please contact a yellow to help you figure out whatever the problem is.

hi Ben,

maybe it is appropriate to ask here since the subject come up,

as you know i TD myself as well and i have some other TD nick's due to clubs i try to run :)

i have asked a yellow to take my ecepal nick off the TD club members (i did not wanted to get news from club since i do get in every nick)

I have noticed that I do not get any news for other nicks either? can you pls explain that? when I asked ecepal nick to be removed " the yellow " took all my other nicks off the list too?

Well, although I am a yellow, I ahve no idea how to take ANYONE's, name off any club list. The way I do this, is I write the club host, and tell them to remove my nick. So I don't know what to tell you.

martoche, do you mean that you tried to register in a Tourney and were informed that it was a "private" T ? When the host of a TD adds someone as an enemy, that someone , and all his aliases are blocked from registering at his tourneys. We consider this entirely the TDs business, and almost never interfere.

 

Ecepal, the club that maintains a membership of TDs is used mostly to xmit messages to all TDs. If you want a particular alias on the list , msg Gweny . When i add a new TD, I usually let G. know so that she can add the TD to the club roster. No other yellows are involved in the management of this club .

Sometimes it may be also a "bug"...

 

As I do not have a stable IP, my IP changes everytime I log in to the net,

I was turned off tournaments from my friends, of which I am 100% sure, they never would blacklist me nor my other nicknames. This looks like the current IP is too close to that of one blacklisted player. I usually log off, log on and a registration is no longer a problem.

 

I would say, next time this message pops up - TALK with the HOST of tourney in question.

 

I dont know if "yellows" have the entry on hosts contact lists - can they see that you are listed as enemy on Maaa´s list?

I guess yes - BUT:

1. Is this "a yellows" job? How much time would that take...

2. Shall "a yellow" share these informations with everyone?

I am a yellow, and I have no idea who is on other players friends or enemy list and know of no way to figure out even if I had a strong burning desire to know.

 

The only problem I have with TD enemy list is people asking me why this TD or that TD blacklisted them. Often the TD turns off chat from enemies, so they can't get any reply for the TD.... I feel somewhat sympathetic with them over their lack of ability to at least hear the reason why (but I suspect most must know why, really)... But I stay out of this, at the most, I might pass along a message from the blacklisted player to the TD, but it really isn't anyone's business but the TD I suspect.

True - I never turn off enemychat, maybe i do not have enuff enemies to do that, and forgot others do... ;)

 

 

Now I understand why "yellows" should be contacted, but I still strongly hope players at least try to contact hosts of tourneys first. Hopefully 75% doubts dissapear and you get more private life...

 

When you contact a host of whatever - tourney/bbo - dont forget the person may not be able to answer you during the next 3 min, wait a little bit. When you got turned off a tourney which will start during the next lets say 3 min , for whatever reason, I really doubt anyone will be able to let you play, even if the reason was a mistake. Clear up the situation later and enjoy next tourneys :P

Hi all and Uday and Ben,

I was listed on TD list and used to get club news but I have asked to be deleted one of my nick only which is ecepal.. but for a while I have received club news on topflight nick too and fot nick .suddenly all these club news has been stopped.gwenny must have taken off all my nicks from Td list but why? i have never asked those nicks to be removed?

that is what i mean.I cannot attend saturday meetings cos I work weekends due to nature of my business(((

yes, no messages were send for couple months now i think, is i think long ago now, im on the list ( i think) with several usernames and i didnt got anything either after last meeting.
