Negative Double on solid 7 card suit

what is the advantage of this type of double? Is it to see wether or not

a human will trust GIB's bidding? One player jumped to 5♣ over the double.

Matchpoint wise on this hand 3♠x-2 was the golden ring....but 4♥ directly

vs double by 4♥ was is the difference in hand types for GIB? Is one slam invitational and

the other not?

For humans, this bidding sequence would show maybe a good 5 to mediocre 6 card heart suit, with some tolerance for another strain, whereas a direct 4H would be a hand more certain hearts is the correct strain. On the above hand I'd definitely bid 4H directly.

I would always bid 4♥ also, unless there is something behind GIB system i am missing

If you're going to report GIB bugs, it would be nice if you gave the developers a complete picture of the situation. Are you noting that GIB's bidding doesn't match the explanations, or are you suggesting that GIB's system is silly? In this case, I presume it's the latter.

if you read the question there was no reporting of a bug, just asking what is behind the bids it made, its seems to

me the question was pretty obvious english.....what is the difference between 4♥ direct and double pull to 4♥.

Is there a way to set up hands where you can put in bidding and see what the bids would mean?

Not that it would really help, i think most people would bid four hears with both nands for sure on first one.

 

On practice tables for bidding can you put in hand types for bidding with GIB?
